FAVOURITE HOUSE AND TECHNO ARTISTS

Before starting the article, I just want to say that all the artists and songs I’m going to talk about are going to be in the section “Music/Artists”.

Let’s start with house music. First of all, I think that house music if for every age, you hear house music in bars and restaurant in the background. Unlike techno which is a particular type of music that is maybe a little more obscure, house makes everyone dance and puts you in a joyful mood.

I’m going to start with one of my favorite artists named, Peggy Gou. She is a South Korean Dj, record producer and fashion designer. She has released seven Eps (extended play record is a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single). In 2019, she launched her own independent record label called Gudu Records. What I love about her is that she does many things in her career, personally she really inspires me. She’s a strong woman, with a unique style, and an incredible gift at mixing house.

Another house music artist I love is Anja Schneider, a German composer, Dj and producer. She is co-founder of the Berlin label Mobilee. My favorite song she did is All I see. Go listen to it, it’s amazing.

Next one is Alex Omar Smith, known as Omar-S. He is an American Dj and producer from Detroit. He does techno, minimal techno and deep house. My favorite music that he did is called Thank U 4 Letting Me Be Myself, there is a nice house rhythm with a beautiful piano sound over it, quite high that is all the beauty of the music.

Moving on to techno artist, of course I am going to start with the one and only Nina Kraviz. She is a techno, house and acid music producer and she comes from Russia. She is really famous, she had the chance to mix all around the world in the most famous festivals and in the most craziest place like the Eiffel Tower.

The second queen of Techno is Amelie Lens was born in Belgium. She is also really known in the techno industry. She is a producer and is co-owner of the Label Lenkse. Her trademark is her long black dress t-shirt with Doc Marten’s and of course her love for techno that is transmitted through the amazing tracks.

And finally, last but not least, Jeff Mills. He was born in the historic capital of techno and is part of the same generation as the three artists recognized as the pioneers of techno in Detroit. He comes from Detroit and mixes techno minimal. One of his most famous tracks is called The Bells which is clearly loved by techno fans !
